2019 Archery Summit Archer's Edge Vineyard Pinot Noir

Archer’s Edge is the gateway to the estate, cradled in a south-facing pocket of pristine land leading the way to the winery drive. Rich resident soils and clonal diversity add layers to an already diverse batch of blocks. An old soul of sorts, this site is poised between youthful freshness and sophistication, showing fruity and savory components.
There’s a summery quality to the nose of this wine, reminiscent of the height of fresh berry season. Ripe cherries and wild raspberries and rounded out by notes of cinnamon, clove and star anise. Darker fruit like blackberry arrives on the palate, along with some salted caramel notes and noticeable minerality. While the wine is still on its upward arc in terms of aging, it’s already offering immense balance and length.
